Introduction to Title IX Training

D. Stafford & Associates (DSA) offers a 1-day Introduction to Title IX class which is designed for new Title IX Coordinators as well as other college and university administrators who have oversight of the institution’s compliance with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (“Title IX”).

In this course, participants will gain an in-depth understanding of Title IX compliance, including relevant case law, statutory, regulatory, and sub-regulatory guidance.

  • Office for Civil Rights (OCR) Enforcement
  • Sexual Harassment Case Law
  • Athletics
  • Admission and Financial Aid
  • Pregnancy and Parenting

  • Discipline and Other Considerations

Who Should Attend

This course is designed for new Title IX Coordinators (i.e., those who have been in the position for less than 18 months) and other administrators who have Title IX oversight responsibilities who would benefit from a class that addresses foundational issues related to Title IX. Attendees must be an employee of an institution of higher education.

Certification

Attendees of this class will receive a Certificate of Completion for an Introductory Title IX class through D. Stafford & Associates. The certificate verifies attendance at this class and can serve as an institution’s documentation that the attendee has received training that provides a foundational understanding of Title IX.

Participants are strongly encouraged to attend the “Title IX Coordinator” training class after completion of this course, which addresses more advanced concepts.

Faculty

This training class will feature expert faculty, all of whom have practical experience, serving as practitioners on college and/or university campuses in the areas of Title IX Compliance, Campus Law Enforcement, Student Conduct, Student Affairs, and Human Resources. Participants will also be able to draw knowledge from networking with fellow Title IX coordinators.

Virtual Classes: The live, virtual classes are held for 1 day, from 10:00 am – 5:00 pm Eastern Time.
